The latest trailer for DIRT 5 shows a variety of cars being thrown around in mud – just like they should.
Launching 9th October on PS4, Xbox One and PC, DiRT 5 is the latest entry in the long-running off-road racing series that isn’t afraid of sacrificing some realism for a bit of fun. It will also release on PS5 and Xbox Series X by the end of the year, while a Google Stadia version will release in 2021.
The DiRT 5 features trailer, which you can watch at the bottom of this page, shows some of the locations and cars you can look forward to in the game. There will be 10 locations overall, as well as 13 car classes and 9 event types. Other features includes a car livery editor, photo mode, four-player split-screen, and more!
We recently went hands-on with a preview build of DiRT 5 and were left very impressed by what we played. It already looks stunning and handles well. What really impressed us was how the tracks change in real-time, however. One minute it can simply be overcast, the next, a blizzard can be limiting your vision while forks of lightning illuminate the track. It’s very immersive.
Those looking forward to DiRT 5 later this year will be happy hear that if they pick up either the Xbox One or PS4 versions they will be able to upgrade to the next-gen equivalent free of charge. So, you can jump in on 9th October then have your experience revitalised when picking up a snazzy new console. Not bad, eh?
