Yakuza Kiwami 2 Hits Xbox One and Windows 10 Store on 30th July

Yakuza Kiwami 2

If you’re an Xbox One gamer who’s made their way through the excellent Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, we have good news: you’ll soon be able to play Yakuza Kiwami 2.

SEGA has announced that Yakuza Kiwami 2 will make its way to Xbox One and the Windows 10 Store on 30th July. And just like its predecessors, it’ll launch straight into Xbox Game Pass.

Continuing the story of Kazuma Kiryu, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is one of the best entries in the series. We awarded the PS4 version a phenomenal 10/10 when we reviewed it back in 2018, stating that it’s “the Yakuza formula perfected.” Chances are it’ll be just as good on Xbox One, and Xbox One X owners can probably expect the visual and performance enhancements found in Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami.

For those who aren’t Xbox Game Pass subscribers, Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be available to buy for £14.99/$19.99, making it an absolute bargain. The question is, what comes next? Will Yakuza 6: The Song of Life make it to Xbox? The Yakuza Remastered Collection? Or with Yakuza: Like a Dragon on its way later this year, is that it for the old games? Only time will tell, but we do hope we get more Kiryu on Xbox and PC.
