Whether you’re playing it on PS4 or PC, Horizon Zero Dawn is a fantastic open-world action-RPG that will eat up many hours of your time.
If time is something that you value, however, you might be wondering: how long does it take to beat Horizon Zero Dawn?
As usual, the answer isn’t so simple. As an open-world game with lots to see and do, as well as multiple difficulties being available, Horizon Zero Dawn‘s playing time will vary a lot from player to player. But we can, thankfully, give you ballpark figure.
Those making their way through Horizon Zero Dawn‘s campaign without engaging in much side-content are likely to complete it in around twenty hours. Those who want to see and do everything the game has to offer, however, will find themselves spending around 60 hours in the game’s world. And so those who who do the odd bit of side-content here and there while playing are likely to get about 30-40 hours out of it.
But of course, there’s also the game’s expansion to consider: The Frozen Wilds. That has a campaign that takes around 8 hours to complete, while completionists will spend nearly 20 hours doing everything it has to offer.
So, it’ll take at least 30 hours for most players to work their through the complete edition of Horizon Zero Dawn, but some players could end up in its world for 80 hours or even more.
