Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is Coming in November, According to Amazon

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered

A Switch release of Skyward Sword wasn’t the only thing that Amazon UK leaked this weekend. A listing of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered also popped up on its pages.

Although the page has now been removed, Amazon listed Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered with a release date of 13th November, and an RRP of £34.99. Two separate listings were spotted: one for an Xbox One release, and another for Nintendo Switch. We grabbed a screenshot of the Xbox One listing below:

Of course, EA has made no such announcement about a Hot Pursuit remaster. And a listing appearing on Amazon is no guarantee that it’s real – although past early listings have almost always come to fruition.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit first released in November 2010 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It was an excellent entry to the series, set in the fictional California-inspired Seacrest County. Unlike modern Need for Speed entries, it wasn’t open world – which is quite the novelty in racing games these days. We sank many hours into it back in the day, so the idea of a remaster is rather exciting.

Considering this November will mark 10 years since the game’s original debut, it seems like a rather apt time to release a remaster. Hopefully EA spills the beans soon.
