Serious Sam 4 Delayed Until September 24th

Serious Sam 4

The unstoppable one-Sam army gets… stopped and delayed for a little while.

Croteam and Devolver Digital did a little oopsie. Earlier this summer, it was announced that the action-packed prequel Serious Sam 4 would be headed into the hands of players in August 2020. But yesterday they announced that a bit more time is needed to make it perfect for players. The new release date for the game is September 24th.

In the days of Covid-19, though, no delay comes as a surprise any more. And what’s a few extra weeks between exploding friends?

Serious Sam 4 reignites the FPS series in this prequel. Humanity is under siege as the complete and full force of Mental’s hordes have begun to spread across the world. With civilisation already at the breaking point, the last remaining resistance, led by Sam “Serious” Stone must step up to try and protect what’s left.

There are some well-known alien invaders returning, but they’ve got new reinforcements. You’ll have to fight your way through ridiculous numbers, square off against old and new enemies and do what you can to protect humanity at all cost!

While Serious Sam 4 has been slightly delayed, that just means that the team is hard at work making sure it’s ready to go out on September 24th. It’ll be available on Stadia and PC, with a console release to follow in 2021.

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
