Come sail away, come sail away with me.
Last week, developer Thunder Lotus shared a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming title Spiritfarer – and it looks beautiful.
In a nutshell, Spiritfarer is a management game about dying. Wile that may seem a bit grim, it covers the topic in a lovely way. You play as Stella, a ferrymaster to the deceased. You’re tasked with building a boat to explore the world and befriend spirits who are on their way to the afterlife. You can farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook and craft your way all over the world. If you want to play the game in co-op, a friend can join as Daffodil the cat.
The third Spiritfarer gameplay teaser just released, which you can watch below. It features multiple new characters that players haven’t seen yet as well as new environments. The team behind the game has said that it continues to change during development.
There’s no set release date for Spiritfarer yet, but it’s expected to launch later this year. It’s headed to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Stadia – and Xbox Game Pass members will be able to play at launch as part of their subscription.
