Are you ready to kill the Justice League?
Well, the Suicide Squad certainly is. And you’re going to help them. Warner Bros. and developer Rocksteady have shown off the first trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League this weekend – and it looks action-packed and bombastic AF.
Described as a “genre-bending action-adventure shooter”, Suicide Squad is a single-player or co-op experience with an original narrative. Taking place in the DC universe, you’ll take on the role of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark, all of whom have just one mission: to kill the Justice League. In case that wasn’t clear from the title.
If you’re playing in single-player, you can jump between characters at will, making use of their unique abilities and skillsets. But if you’re playing in co-op, each player can take up the role of one player, working together to take down foes and progress through the game.
Don’t get too excited just yet though: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is slated for a 2022 release, so we’ve got a while to wait. It’ll be available on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. Providing the world still exists in 2022, of course.
