Releasing later this year on Xbox Series X and PC, Bloober Team’s The Medium already got our attention with its freaky first trailer.
But today, our interest has piqued to a new level; the studio has revealed some of the talent that’s been working on the game.
Voice talent is being offered up by the talented Troy Baker, an actor whose impressive list of credits includes Joel from The Last of Us and Sam Drake from Uncharted 4. He’ll be voicing The Medium‘s primary antagonist, a spirit known as The Maw.
Perhaps more exciting, though, are the names popping up in the game’s music credits. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn will be working with composer Akira Yamaoka on an original saoundtrack. This is particularly notable as the pair previously worked together on the Silent Hill series.
If you’re a fan of Silent Hill, then, The Medium is certainly one to watch. Not only does it look like it’s shaping up to be an excellent horror title, but it has a legendary pairing working on its soundtrack.
Alongside this announcement, Bloober Team has also released a ‘behind the scenes video’, which you can watch below. In it, you can hear some of the team provide some insight into the game. They discuss the key theme – how different perspectives can change how you perceive something – and talk about the game’s world and its inspirations.
