How will romance effect your gameplay in Baldur’s Gate 3? The recent community update shows off the answer.
Larian Studios, the developer of Baldur’s Gate 3, has released a new trailer that gives us a more in-depth look at how romance and companionship will affect players.
In the game, each of your party members will be unique. They’ll have their own personalities, goals and motivations – but they are forced together by a shared problem. These relationships will change and grow depending on what you do, how you act and what you say.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has several types of characters for the player to choose, each with their unique dialogue options. Players will see these dialogue options while they’re trying to form relationships with other characters. The choices available will change depending on previous choices made by players; essentially, as long as you make different choices each time, no two playthroughs will be the same.
The team at Larian really wanted to create 3D characters that feel like real people. The more you interact with them, the more you’ll learn about them and get the opportunity to really nurture your relationships with them.
This update comes with the news that Baldur’s Gate 3‘s release into early access has been delayed slightly – but only by a week. It’ll now be releasing on Steam on 6th October.
