“The Xbox One doesn’t have any single-player games!” they say. Pfft!

While Microsoft’s first-party lineup is admittedly more multiplayer-focused, those who enjoy a good single-player game are still well catered for on Xbox One. In fact, it’s home to many of the best single-player games available right now. Thanks to third-party support from the likes of Square Enix and Capcom, the Xbox One has plenty of games that don’t require you to play with others. And if you have an Xbox One X, there’s often no better way to play them unless you have a powerful PC.

With thousands of games now available on Xbox One, however, simply working out which ones offer a solid single-player experience is a task, let alone the best. So hopefully we can help. Here’s a list of the best single-player games on Xbox One. One or two of them might have online features, or even a multiplayer mode. But first and foremost they offer a single-player campaign that’s worthy of your time.
