Last month, we shared the news that DIRT 5‘s release window was pushed back by a week. Now it’s been delayed a few more weeks, until November 6th.
An exact reason for DIRT 5‘s latest delay has not been shared, but presumably it’s to give the development team a little more time to add the finishing touches to the game.
The delay is only three weeks; with the release moving from 16th October to 6th November. Players who opt to purchase the Amplified Edition will still get early access, starting on 3rd November.
In an announcement shared on Twitter, Codemasters acknowledged that the additional delay “sucks”, but shared its thanks for the support from the community so far:
News: DIRT 5 will now launch on November 6 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. #XboxSeriesX and #PS5 versions still launching later this year.

It also means that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game will release closer to the current gen versions. We know Xbox Series X is launching in November, though a date has yet to be specified. Sony has still not given any indication of a release window other than “holiday”.
Anyone purchasing the Xbox One or PS4 version of DIRT 5 will still be entitled to a free upgrade to the corresponding next-gen version.
