Disgaea 6 is Coming to Switch in Summer 2021

Disgaea 6

Exciting news, dood!

During today’s Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, it was announced that Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is coming to Switch. The sixth game in the popular RPG series, it follows zombie Zed and his sister Bieko on a journey through multiple Netherworlds.

But as you can imagine, no Netherworld-bound journey is easy, so there’ll be plenty of challenges along the way. Those who are familiar with the Disgaea series will have an idea of what to expect; plenty of tactical combat, held together with a gripping story.

In battle, you’ll be able to use special attacks, tag in support allies to help you defeat your foes, and utilise a range of customisable options. Whether you’re a hardcore strategy combat fan or a casual player, you’ll be able to tweak settings to suit your needs; you can use Auto, Retry and Replay, for example, and a ‘Super Reincarnation’ function allows you to jump back into the action even if you meet a grizzly end.

More information about Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is available on the game’s official website. It’s set to release in summer 2021, exclusive to Nintendo Switch. We’ll have more on the game closer to its release. Until then, watch the announcement trailer below.
