First Person Mystery The Signifier is Headed to Steam in October

Jump into the mind of a dead woman in The Signifier.

The chances that we’ll ever know what happens after someone dies is very slim. But we can hypothesise and imagine. In The Signifier, from Raw Fury and Playmestudio, players will get the chance to dive into the human mind of a woman who has recently been killed.

The Signifier is a first-person mystery title that covers a variety of topics from experimental psychology to artificial intelligence. You play as Fredrick Russel who is an expert in both of these fields. He’s also the main researcher in charge of the “Dreamwalker”, a brain scanning machine. As Fredrick, you’re tasked with investigating the mysterious circumstances that surround a woman’s death.

To do this, you’ll need to interact with characters in the real world, solving puzzles and gathering evidence. But you’ll also be able to enter the mind of the deceased, parsing through her objective memories and subjective dreams. Your goal is to figure out what’s real, and find some answers about how the woman died.

The Signifier is set to release on Steam on October 15th. A PS4 and Xbox One version is coming in early 2021.

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
