A mystery is afoot, dear gamers.
Frogwares has recently released a brand new trailer for its upcoming title Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One. The trailer shows off the setting of the game – a Mediterranean city with some unexpected secrets.
Alongside the trailer, Frogwares released a developer overview video to give players even more details about the game. The overview has revealed that the main story of the game will take around 15 hours to play, though the completionists among us who want to tackle every side quest will find upwards of 30 hours worth of content.
While Chapter One is an action-adventure title, the team has revealed that players will be encouraged to take a non-lethal approach. But that doesn’t mean that Holmes won’t be able to defend himself should the need arise. There is combat, but only where it’s necessary by the story. Don’t expect to turn Sherlock into a bloodthirsty killing machine!
The overview also mentioned that Sherlock has his own mansion that players will be able to customise and restore. New rooms of the mansion will unlock as you play, revealing more information about Holmes and his family.
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is set to release in 2021 on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One and PC. We’ll have more on the game closer to its launch. Until then, take a first glimpse at the game’s setting in the new trailer below.
