Jump into the gorgeous world of Genshin Impact in just a few days.

Developer miHoYo just recently announced that its free-to-play open-world role-playing game Genshin Impact is releasing on September 29th for PlayStation 4, PC and mobile devices.

Heavily inspired by the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact takes place in the large world of Teyvat. In Teyvat, people are chosen by the gods and given the ability to control an element. Players take on the role of a Traveler that they get to choose themselves. Along the way, the Traveler will meet a whole host of unique characters that players will also be get the chance to control. These characters have their own special abilities for players to utilise.

The game takes place in a huge open world with a myriad of intriguing places for players to explore. Players will be able to run, jump, glide and more across dozens of in-game locations all while controlling one of seven natural elements: Cryo, Dendro, Pyro, Hydro, Anemo, Electro and Geo.

You can pre-register your interest in the game’s official website. Currently the team is offering rewards on PC and mobile platforms depending on how many players register their interest.

Those that pre-register are able to pre-load the title onto their devices starting September 25th at 7pm PDT.  PS5 pre-loads start at 9pm PDT.

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
