Crusader Kings III has made the choice to make characters much more personable.
Characters in Crusader Kings III now have their own traits and lifestyles that will change how they play. Characters are also distinguished by the lifestyle they choose and the perks they unlock.
To pick a lifestyle in Crusader Kings III, all you have to do is select the circle in the bottom left corner of your screen. This will bring you to the lifestyle screen, and from there, you can pick your focus from each trait. You will get a bonus to the speed you earn lifestyle perks based on your education.
If you have a martial education of three star quality, for example, you will gain martial perks 30% quicker.
Within each lifestyle you will get to pick your focus that will give you a flat bonus and cannot be changed for a significant period of time. Over time, you will gain experience and eventually be able to unlock a perk in that traits lifestyle.
You can change your focus later on in your character’s life if you’d like to focus their talents elsewhere.
