InnerSloth Cancels Among Us 2 to Continue Work on Among Us

There’s nothing quite like a game that is known for ruining friendships.

Among Us is just that game. Despite being released back in 2018, it’s only recently taking the internet by storm after gaining popularity on Twitch and YouTube.

Only announced last month, developer InnerSloth was working on a sequel to the game. However, following Among Us‘ success, it has decided to scrap its plans to release a sequel and instead work on the original game some more.

Originally, the team decided that working on Among Us 2 would be better of the outdated codebase of the first game. But after seeing the success of their game in the last few weeks, they’ve decided they’d rather add support for the first rather than putting their focus on the second.

Instead, Among Us will be getting all of the content that the team had planned for Among Us 2. Some of the things that the team announced are coming for the title include:

  • Server issue fixes
  • Colorblind support
  • Friends/Account systems
  • A new stage

Among Us is available for $5 on PC via Steam and as well as free on mobile devices.
