Great news if you’re planning to jump into Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered on PS5: it’ll have its own trophy list.
Yesterday on Twitter, developer Insomniac Games spent some time answering various queries about the game. One of these concerned the trophy status of Spider-Man: Remastered, the reworked PS5 version of 2018’s PS4 exclusive.
Happily, it confirmed that it’ll have its own trophy list. So if you’ve already completed Spider-Man on PS4, you’ll have a new list of trophies to earn.
A digital code for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered will be included with the Ultimate Edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It will have no physical release, and it’s so far unclear if it will be made available outside of the Ultimate Edition.
Insomniac also confirmed that you’ll not be able to carry over your save from the PS4 version of the game to Spider-Man: Remastered on PS5. It makes sense, considering the games have separate trophy lists; it’s essentially a different game. You can, however, play the PS4 version on PS5 via backwards compatibility, and presumably use your save data.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a launch title for PS5, and will also be available on PS4. If you buy the PS4 version of the game, you’ll get a free update to PS5. But if you want Spider-Man: Remastered, you’ll need to buy the Ultimate Edition, which is only available on PS5.
