Kirby Fighters 2 is Out on Switch Today

Kirby Fighters 2

Kirby versus Kirby versus Kirby versus… Kirby.

Why bother with the choice of characters available to you in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate when all you want to do is fight as the pink love of your life, Kirby? Enter Kirby Fighters 2, available from today on Nintendo Switch.

Featuring 17 different Kirby abilities including ninja, yo-yo, artist, wrestler, bomb, whip and more, you can duke it out Kirby-on-Kirby, or get up to three friends in on the action in multiplayer battles.

The multiple Kirbys are joined by various familiar faces from the series, including King Dedede and Meta Knight. Altogether, there are 22 different fighting styles for players to test out across various game modes.

Kirby Fighters 2‘s Story Mode is likely where most players will find themselves. Playable alone or in local co-op, Story Mode sees the Kirby of your choice make their way up a tower, competing in battles of increasing difficulty as they progress. There’s also a ‘Single-Handed’ mode, which challenges players to set a best time when competing in various battles.

Stage select is also available, allowing players to battle with friends or against CPU in the stage of their choice. As you’d expect, there’s a wealth of familiar Kirby locations available, including Fountain of Dreams, Bubbly Clouds and Waddle Dee Train Tracks. If you’re connected to the internet, you can also take the fight online, competing against real players from around the world.

Kirby Fighters 2 is available digitally from the Nintendo eShop, priced at $19.99. For more information, visit the game’s official page.
