Released earlier this year, Maneater let players slide into the fins of a flesh-hungry shark. And soon, the experience will be better than ever.
Developer Tripwire Interactive has announced that Maneater will be getting a next-gen upgrade. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game will sport native 4K resolution and run at 60FPS. It’ll also support Ray-Tracing, have new lighting effects and increased graphical fidelity.
On PS5, the game will make use of the functions of the new DualSense controller, providing players with immersive feedback.
Players on Xbox Series S will also benefit from the upgrades to Maneater‘s graphics and performance – but it will run at 1440p rather than 4K resolution.
If you own Maneater on PS4 or Xbox One currently, you’ll get a free upgrade to the relevant next-generation version including all of its upgrades. The upgraded version of the game will be available launch day on both consoles: that’s 10th November on Xbox Series S/X, and 12th November on PS5 (or 19th November if you’re in Europe).
The PC version of Maneater will also be getting the same next-gen upgrades, but these will come later. They’re expected to land in 2021, and more information will be available in the next few months.
