Explore two realities in upcoming title The Medium.
Bloober Team, the developer behind horror titles Blair Witch, Observer and Layers of Fear, has a new horror game waiting to scare us: The Medium.
The first third-person title from the studio, The Medium puts players in the role of Marianne, a medium who can see into two different realities. She is tasked with exploring them both at the same time using her out-of-body experience ability to travel places her physical body can’t go. She can also create energy shields and powerful spirit blasts to survive against the dangers of the other world.
The new trailer for the game, which you can watch below, gives players their first glimpse into the origins of The Maw; the main antagonist of the game voiced by none other than Troy Baker. You’ll also meet Sadness, a masked young girl who lives at the abandoned Niwa Hotel that Marianne finds herself exploring.
Set to release this holiday season on PC and Xbox Series X, digital pre-orders for The Medium are open on its official website. If you pre-order on Steam, you’ll also receive the game’s original soundtrack as well as The Art of the Medium digital artbook.
Give the trailer a watch below. Needless to say, if you’re a fan of horror, this is one worth keeping on your radar.
