Gibbous A Cthulhu Adventure 3 (1)

This classic point-and-click title arrives on Switch just in time for Halloween.

Gibbous – A Cthulhu Adventure, from developer Stuck in Attic, is available for purchase now on the Nintendo Switch. Previously released for PC after a successful run on Kickstarter, it has seen some favourable reviews and now hopes to make a successful console debut.

We reviewed the title on PC, scoring it a ‘great’ 8/10. We said: “Gibbous – A Cthulhu Adventure will tickle your funny bones with its dialogue and won’t leave you flummoxed when faced with its puzzles.”

In the game you play as detective Don R. Keytype as he searches for the infamous Necronomicon. You’ll also take control of librarian Buzz Kerwan, who finds the book of spells and may have accidentally given his cat the power of speech.

Don and Buzz, along with a talking cat, will have to work together to keep that book out of the hands of evil and get Buzz’s cat back to normal.

The game features over 60 hand-painted environments, 70+ fully voiced characters, a soundtrack featuring live instruments, a helpful hint system and more.

You can check out a trailer for the game below and head over to the Nintendo eShop to pick it up.

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
