Next-Gen FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 Launch 4th December

FIFA 21 1 (1)

Players can look forward to the next generation of two huge sports games coming soon.

It was announced today on Twitter that both FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 are headed to next generation consoles on December 4th. This announcement also came with the news that players who purchase either of the games on PS4 or Xbox One will be eligible to a free upgrade to PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.

EA is calling the ability to upgrade a “Dual Entitlement”. This just means that when you purchase your copy of either title on current generation consoles – PlayStation 4 or Xbox One – you’ll be able to upgrade to the next generation console for free. Digital console owners will have digital entitlement as well.

Any progress that you make in the games will be transferable between your PS4 and PS5 or your Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. However, any progress you make in Online Seasons, Co-Op Seasons, Career Mode, Pro Clubs, etc. won’t transfer between generations.

By upgrading to the next generation version of FIFA 21 or Madden NFL 21, players will be able to enjoy faster load times, improved lighting and rendering, enhanced animation technology and much more.

If you’re looking to pick up the newest generation of sports titles, be on the look out for FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 on December 4th.

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
