Regular players are terrible at saving Bob, how about some real doctors give it a go?
Bossa Studios has just made its latest game, Surgeon Simulator 2, free for all NHS workers. The studio wants to give doctors, nurses, surgeons and more a chance to try out the game for themselves and show the community how its done.
Surgeon Simulator 2 uses physical-based motion controls while players attempt to perform surgeries under ridiculous circumstances. The sequel includes a new co-operative multiplayer mode which allows up to three players to perform surgeries. There’s even a story mode for players who wish to explore the ups and downs of their medical facility.
This new initiative for NHS staff runs until Thursday, October 22nd and isn’t the only event Bossa are hosting. The North Lincolnshire NHS Trust is also being supported by the game as it runs a Surgeon Simulator 2 speed-running event with real doctors raising money to improve MRI facilities.
The 24-hour fundraiser will feature real life doctors including: a cardiothoracic surgeon, a chief cardiologist, a radiologist and more. You can tune into the stream here at 10:00AM BST Thursday, October 15th.
If you’re an NHS staff member, visit nhs.surgeonsim.com to claim your free copy of the game, which will come in the form of an Epic Game Store key.
If you’re not an NHS worker, you can buy Surgeon Simulator 2 now on Epic Game Store for £19.99/$24.99.
