Does Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Have Split-Screen or Online Co-Op?

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (1)

Another year, another Call of Duty game. And you might be wondering if Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has any split-screen or online co-op options.

As usual, the answer is yes. While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s story campaign is strictly single-player only, its other modes all allow you to team up with fiends or family members in various ways.

You can jump into the game’s multiplayer modes, for example. If you have someone sat besides you who want to get in on the action, you can connect a controller and play in split-screen. Whether you want to play with or against them is up to you.

And if there’s a friend or family member that can’t be in the same room as you but still wants to join in the fun, as long as they have a console and a copy of the game, they can play with you online.

Zombies is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s best mode for a bit of co-op action though – it’s made for it after all. You can easily get together a group of four players online, taking on hordes of zombies while trying to complete objectives.

Strangely though, you seemingly can’t play zombies in split-screen; there’s an option for it but it simply doesn’t work. Hopefully a patch will allow split-screen co-op in Zombies mode in the future.
