Dystopian Point and Click Adventure Encodya is Coming to PC in January

A robot and a little girl are unlikely friends in this upcoming adventure.

Point-and-click games are part of one of the oldest, most beloved genres of games out there. Seasoned players come back to them again and again, but as the genre grows and changes so does its audience. Encodya, from Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Chaosmonger Studio could just possibly start 2021 off on a brilliant note.

In the game you play as Tina, a young orphan girl who has nothing to her name except the hulking robot known as SAM-53. Sam is tasked with protecting Tina from the cruel world around her. Although the two only have each other they also have a big dream – turning their home from a dystopia to a utopia.

In a new trailer for the game, players can see how Encodya will play. It looks just like a classic point-and-click like Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle. You can control both characters as they explore their world and collect items to help them along the way. Combining items together might get the player to an unexpected or unique solution.

The game features a beautiful art style, intriguing story, and original soundtrack. Players can look forward to meeting over 35 NPCs that help bring the immersive world of the game to life.

Encodya is releasing on PC via Steam and GOG on 26th January, 2021. So if you’re a sucker for a classic point-and-click adventure, mark your calendars for this one.
