You start out with a horse as your mount in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but how do you change it? Here’s what you need to know.
Undoubtedly, you’ve seen some epic screenshots or videos of other Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players riding around on a giant wolf or something equally as cool. Naturally, you want to be able to ride around on a giant wolf too. And you can. Here’s how to change your mount in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Sadly, you can’t do it straight away; you’ll have to progress a few hours first. Once you’ve travelled to England and founded your new hometown of Ravensthorpe, you’ll be able to start developing the town. By raiding nearby camps, you’ll gain materials that will allow you to build new buildings in the town.
One of those buildings is the stable, and that’s the building you need in order to change your mount.
When you’ve got enough materials, you don’t have to wait for the stables to be completed; it’ll happen instantly. You’re then able to talk to the stable master, and either change your mount to one you already own, or buy a new one. You should already have a wolf in your inventory.
When visiting other settlements in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you can also visit their stables. They may have different mounts you can purchase. You’ll also find different, often limited-edition mounts, at the travelling tradesman who sets up in Ravensthorpe some hours into your adventure.
