Playing Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is fun and all, but if you want the best rewards you’re going to want to exfil rather than simply keep playing until you die.
New to Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the exfil feature gives players more control over how a game of zombies ends. They can still keep fighting until the zombie hordes simply get too much for them if they like, but exfiltrating via helicopter offers rewards that aren’t to be ignored. But how do you exfil?
You can’t exfil at any point during a game of Zombies: the option first becomes available on round 10, and if it isn’t taken it then becomes available every five rounds after that. So, you can exfil on rounds 10, 15, 20, 25, and so on. To exfil, a player needs to interact with the radio found in the starting area of the map when it becomes an option. When playing alone the exfil process will begin as soon as the player interacts with the radio, but when other players are present they’ll also need to agree to it.
When exfil is chosen or agreed upon, all players need to head to the marked exfil mark on the map and wait for the helicopter to arrive. Unfortunately though, zombies will swamp the area, and so it’s up to players to clear them so that the helicopter has space to land. Be prepared for a fierce fight, but if players are able to wipe the zombies out they can board the helicopter when it lands and score a successful exfil. The reward is not only a whole lot of XP, but also some Aetherium Crystals. Not bad, eh?
