Wondering how to increase your transfer budget in Football Manager 2021? Here’s what you need to know.
There is no business as ruthless as football. Call it soccer, football, the beautiful game, whatever; you will still struggle to make among the elites. This is still true in Football Manager 2021.
So to make your mark as a football manager, you will want to bring in the best talent to your club. This isn’t always cheap. You’ll have to pay dividends for the top player and may need to stretch your transfer budget to its absolute maximum. Thankfully, there are several ways you can increase your transfer budget in Football Manager 2021.
First of all, you can go to the transfer tab, select your remaining budget and adjust this – but only you have some wage budget available. You can dip into that and adjust how you spend that remaining money.
If that isn’t enough, then you will have to try and find some more money. You can do this by asking your board to give you a bigger budget. They are more likely to do so if you have their confidence, your club is financially stable and you’re hitting your other targets. If this is the case, then go to finances, and at the right-hand side you can make a board request and ask for more pocket money.
If they are hard to convince, then you can try requesting funds for a specific player. This will only really work if the player suits the club’s current vision and model. So if they want you to sign young players for the first team, for example, they are more likely to acquiesce if you are asking for money for a young player.
