Want to jump into Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s zombie mode, but feel like taking it on by yourself? Here’s how.
By its very nature, Call of Duty’s Zombies mode is designed to be played in multiplayer. You’ll work together in a team of up to four to take down hordes of zombies out to ruin your day. In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s Zombies mode, you’ll make your way around a sprawling map, ticking off objectives. Eventually, it becomes a test to see how long you can survive.
Sometimes, you don’t want to play with other people. Or perhaps you just want to challenge yourself to see how far you can get. Thankfully, you do have the option to play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode solo if you want. It’s easy to do so.
On the game’s main menu, select Zombies. Click to select your game mode, and from there, you can toggle with LB/RB to select “Public” or “Private”. Choose Private, and nobody else will be able to join your game.
You can simply start the game from there, and you’ll be able to take on Zombies mode by yourself. Creating a Private match also lets you invite your friends without worrying about random players joining.
Zombies mode does get tricky, though, and if you’re playing solo it means there’s nobody to pick you up if you do fall. But it’s great fun, and seeing how many rounds you can last by yourself is certainly a challenging endeavour.
