Out on 4th December, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition packs in a host of new features to the original game.
While its title may be a bit of a mouthful, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition should be an exciting prospect for any Dragon Age fan. The Definitive Edition adds orchestral in-game music, the ability to speed up battles, a new photo mode and more. And you can try out all those new features, for free, in a demo that’s available now.
The demo, available to download on PS4, Xbox One, Steam and Nintendo Switch, includes the game’s opening chapter. There’s multiple hours of gameplay to make your way through, allowing you to see how the story begins, try out some combat and see some of Dragon Quest XI S‘s beautiful environments.
Taking on the role of a young man on the brink of adulthood, you’ll explore the world of Erdrea, packed with sights to see and monsters to battle. For those who have played Dragon Quest XI – or indeed any Dragon Quest game – before, you’ll know what to expect. But if you’re new to it, expect plenty of twists and turns in its narrative; only some of which you’ll get a taste of here.
Most importantly with the demo, your progress will carry through to the full game when it launches. So rather than being a demo, it’s more like early access to the first chapter.
