In the early hours of Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll be sent into a gang hideout to retrieve a robot required for a more important job.
It should have been an easy job, as your fixer previously made a deal with the gang’s leader, Brick. Trouble is, he’s been pushed aside and locked up by Royce, who has now assumed control of the gang. That complicates matters. Depending on how the mission pans out though, you might get the opportunity to free Brick, and it pays dividends for those who venture further into Cyberpunk 2077.
If you don’t pay Royce for the Robot out of your own pocket, chances are you’ll encounter Brick as you make your escape from the hideout. He’s locked in a room on the left hand side of the area where you first encounter hostiles. To open the door you have two options: if your hacking skills are up to the task, you can simply aim at the door, open up your scanner and then select the remote deactivation option. Otherwise, in the room to the right of where brick is being held, you’ll find the code to the door in the messages stored on the computer, located on the desk.
Once you’re in the room with Brick, however, there’s a further dilemma: a mine with a laser-trigger has been set up in front of him. To set him free once and for all, you’re going to need to deactivate it. Again, you have two options. If your tech skill is high enough you’re able to disarm it by just getting in range of it and holding down the required button. If your tech skill isn’t high enough, go to the room to the right again – there you’ll find a detonator just lying on a shelf. With the detonator, you can either blow up the mine remotely or deactivate it. If you want to save Brick, make sure you deactivate it.
