As you make your way through Cyberpunk 2077, you’re probably going to want to take some photos. After all, the game looks absolutely stunning on the right hardware.
Thankfully, Cyberpunk 2077 does have a photo mode, allowing you to capture some great shots of its environments and characters. You can have some fun with them, too.
To use photo mode in Cyberpunk 2077, simply press in both analogue sticks at the same time. Do it right, and the game will pause before bringing up a screen full of photo options. If pressing in both analogue sticks doesn’t initiate photo mode, go into the game’s options and make sure that photo mode is enabled. It should be on by default, however.
When you’re in photo mode, you’ll find that you can switch between a first-person or drone camera, which are both great for different types of shots. By using the shoulder buttons on your controller, you’ll also find that you can switch through multiple pages of effects and toggles. You can set whether the player character is visible, for example, or apply a range of filters. If the player character is visible, you can even change their pose and their facial expression. Have a play around to become familiar with what’s available.
When you’re ready to take a photo, on PC you can simply press the required button to take a shot (X on an Xbox controller, and Square on PlayStation controller) and it’ll be saved to your pictures folder. If you’re playing on an Xbox or PlayStation console, however, you’ll want to hide the user interface before using the console’s screenshot functionality to take your photo.
