Persona 5 Strikers is Coming to the West in February

Persona 5 Strikers

Take on the role of the Phantom Thieves in this new title.

The Phantom Thieves are back at it in Persona 5 Strikers. Set to release on February 23, 2021, this Persona 5 spin-off is a hack ‘n’ slash adventure with a brand new story.

First released in Japan in February 2020, Atlus has just confirmed a western release. It’ll be available on PS4, Switch and PC via Steam from 23rd February 2021, with a digital and physical release incoming.

Persona 5 Striker‘s story will see a friendly road trip take an ominous turn as you uncover a twisted reality. Reuniting players with familiar faces, they’ll fight against a powerful corruption that has begun taking over cities all across Japan.

The combat system is a bit different than what players have come to expect from the Persona series. Using the familiar hybrid battle system, players will enjoy high-action combat along with a pause-and-plan sequence where you can decide what move you want to use next. You’ll be able to strategise, learn about your enemy to determine their weakness, and finish the fight with some devastating blows.

Players will visit six cities and use their unique abilities to help those in need. But things won’t always be so hectic. You’ll also learn to cook some delicious-looking regional recipes. Each of the Phantom Thieves is a playable character with their own unique strengths and skills. This means players will be able to pick which character works best for them at any given time.

Persona 5 Strikers is set to release on February 23rd for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam. You can pre-order the game on any of these platforms starting December 10th.

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
