The end of the world isn’t so bad.
Sure, in most cases the end of the world involves mutants, zombies, explosions, and stuff like that, but you also usually turn into a total badass. Who doesn’t love being a total badass? That’s pretty much exactly what happens in the Fallout games. There are big explosions followed by your character going into a vault for a few dozen years. When you get back out, the world has gone to hell in a handbasket and it’s up to you to pick up a gun and keep yourself alive.
There’s a lot of people that just love the Fallout franchise. And if you know someone who fits that bill, then we’ve put together a list of six awesome gifts you could get for them (or yourself) this holiday season.
Sugar Bombs Cereal Bowl
Everyone loves a good bowl of cereal in the morning. So what if that cereal happens to have a little bit of radiation that may or may not turn your teeth green? All of the sugar in most cereals is just as bad and you don’t seem to mind that. Anyways, the perfect item to pour your cereal into is this Sugar Bombs Cereal Bowl. It says “I’m sophisticated” and also “Yes I’m the reason your Geiger Counter is going off.” It’s the perfect gift for your friend who knows what real style is.
X01 Survivor & Dogmeat Figures
This next Fallout-themed gift is one for the collectors in your life. These figures are really well-made and would be a perfect addition for any Fallout fan. This set comes with not only the X01 Survivor clad in a silver power armour suit, but it comes with Dogmeat as well. Man’s best friend in the apocalypse! Dogmeat is wearing his well-known armour set and looks to be searching for clues like a good doggo. Each character stands atop a scenic base that fits right into the Fallout universe.
Fallout: The Board Game
If you’re getting together with friends or family this holiday season and video games aren’t their thing, what’s the next best option? Board games, of course! This Fallout board game is the perfect thing to bring out at a gathering. In the game, players explore the wasteland, fight mutants and monsters and complete quests to level up their characters. And it’s inspired by the storylines featured in Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.
Nuka Cola Lunchbox
Do you eat lunch? Do your loved ones eat lunch? Either way, you’ve got to have this lunchbox. Not only is it spacious enough to hold at least three Nuka Colas and a can of tasty pork and beans, but it even looks as though its been through the apocalypse itself. Say goodbye to having to clean your lunchbox. Your friends will just think that’s what it looks like. Ok, that’s gross – you should really clean your lunchbox if it gets dirty. But you get my point.
Fallout Colouring Book
Living during the nuclear apocalypse is a stressful thing. You have to think about food, staying away from radiation, avoiding crazy people. You know how it is. So, what better way to relax and wind down at the end of the day then a Fallout colouring book? If you’ve ever wanted to imagine the world of Fallout in Technicolour than this is the perfect place to do it. Colour power armour pink, make a deathclaw rainbow – the world is your oyster.
Fallout Official Cookbook
One of the best pastimes in the Fallout games is sitting in front of a fire and cooking yourself up something nice to eat. After all, many of the radiated animals out in the wild are just ripe for the picking. Which is why this Fallout Official Cookbook is the perfect gift for those that find themselves stuck alone in the apocalypse and have gotten tired of eating rocks. Some of the recipes you’ll find in the book include: Mirelurk Belly Croquettes, Rolled Deathclaw Egg Omelette, BlamCo Mac and Cheese and Brahmin Baked Potatoes just to name a few. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just a fan of the series, this one is a must-have.
