World of Warcraft players have already spent some time exploring the Shadowlands.
World of Warcraft‘s latest expansion, Shadowlands, released on 23rd November. Players have undoubtedly already fought through The Maw and ventured to Bastion or Maldraxxus, Ardenweald or Revendreth. If you haven’t, don’t worry; many players are taking their time exploring Shadowlands at their own pace.
Fairly new to World of Warcraft is the addition of seasons. Seasons have been put in place so that content can be released a bit at a time rather than all at once. This allows players to savour Shadowlands and fully immerse themselves in the story.
Shadowlands‘ first season kicks off today, 8th December. It brings brand new content including dungeons, the first raid and items for PvP players.
What players are most excited about is Castle Nathria – the first raid of Shadowlands. Located in the dark and eerie Revendreth, it has ten bosses to be defeated inside. Players will have many tasks to overcome in the raid, but their overall goal will be to protect the Shadowlands from those that wish to twist it into something sinister. The raid opens today for both Normal and Heroic difficulties. Mythic and the first wing of Raid Finder will open next Tuesday, 15th December.
But Castle Nathria isn’t the only thing coming to Season One. Mythic Keystone players will have brand new opportunities to gain a seasonal prefix – Prideful. Additionally, competing in PvP will reap epic rewards this season as well.
