Viva Festivale fellow villagers!
Over the past year since the game’s release, players have enjoyed a handful of creative and fun events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (not including Bunny Day). While it’s coming up on the year anniversary of the game’s release in March, Nintendo still has some new surprises for players.
The newest event making its way to the game is Festivale. Festivale starts off February 15th, but there are a few things players can do to celebrate before the day.
Starting February 1st, players can run into the Able Sisters shop to pick up some new groovy looks. And anyone that wants a few new Festivale-inspired reactions can purchase them from Nook’s Cranny. The reactions include: Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva and Confetti.
There will be additional season items for players to pick up and decorate their island with. Love in the air? Pick up the some sentimental chocolate hearts and hearts-shaped bouquets. Those will be available from February 1st to February 14th.
As if that wasn’t enough, keep an eye out for other Groundhog Day and Big Game Celebration items coming soon.
The main event, of course, is the Festivale celebration which will start on February 15th. On the day, players will meet a beautiful peacock villager named Pavé. When the event launches players can run around their island collecting colourful feathers with their bug nets. Trade them to Pavé and he’ll reward you with a fabulous dance number.
The update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be added to the game on January 28th. You may start seeing Festivale items turn up as early as this coming Thursday! Be sure to log in and get your island prepared for the festivities.
