A brand new IP has made its debut.
Stormind Games, the developer of the Remothered franchise, along with writer Anne Toole, composer Ron Fish and Assassin’s Creed concept artist Borslav Mitkov, have just recently revealed their newest project. Titled Batora: Lost Haven, the company’s next game is a story-driven RPG set to release for PC and consoles.
The game follows protagonist Avril, a 16-year-old girl who loses everything when her home planet Earth is practically obliterated. Suddenly, Avril is the only one equipped to save her dying planet. What’s unique about Batora: Lost Haven is its interesting mechanic which challenges the player with finding the balance between mind and body. Players will have to switch between their physical and mental states in order to time their moves correctly.
This will certainly not be easy. Every choice that players make throughout the game will influence Avril’s journey for better or for worse. While battling nightmarish creatures, players will have to also focus on the path ahead.
Batora: Lost Haven‘s visuals are shaping up to be rather striking; its art style takes on a hand-painted approach. It is inspired by sci-fi art of the 1950s as well as the photorealistic look of many AAA titles.
There’s no release date for Batora: Lost Haven yet, but it’ll be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.
