Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is finally available on PS4, PS5, Switch and PC.
With a story that takes place three years after the events of the first game, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy once again finds Ryza embarking on an adventure. And of course, she’s not alone; along the way she reunites with old friends and makes new ones. But being a grand adventure, it’s very likely that you’re not going to finish this latest entry in the Atelier series in one sitting; you’re going to want to save your game from time to time.
Like most games these days, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy has an autosave system. So, as you go about your business, your progress is regularly saved in the background. Watch out for the autosave icon appearing in the top right-hand corner of the screen – it generally appears when entering a new area or after a story event has finished. There’s only one autosave slot, however, which means that it overwrites itself. And so you might also want to make use of the game’s manual save system, which allows you to create multiple saves.
To manually save your game in Atelier Ryza 2: Lost legends & the Secret Fairy, you need to travel back to Ryza’s room, located near the central area of the royal capital. You’ll be spending much of the game there, as it’s where you use your alchemy skills and synthesise items, after all. Interact with the diary on the table, and you’ll be given the option to save your game. Select it, and you can choose to overwrite a previous manual save, or create a new slot. Unfortunately, there’s no way to create a manual save while out in a field.
