Every detail is important, Watson. Every detail.
Frogwares, the team behind the upcoming title Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, has just released a video where some of players’ most asked questions get answered.
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is a third-person, open-world detective thriller. This particular version of this literary character’s story is a prequel; it lovingly re-imagines the beginning of Sherlock’s detailed history. While this story has Sherlock driven by his goal to learn how his mother died, he also wants to prove that he’s a real detective. This means he’ll be taking on other quests as well.
One of the biggest questions players have been wondering about the game is how long Chapter One will be. According to the video, players can expect a 12-15 hour playthrough for just the main quests. Side quests and other parts of the game can make the game last 40-50 hours. There will be five main quests and 30+ side quests to complete.
The video also covers details on disguises and the Holmes mansion. Players will be able to disguise Holmes appropriately throughout the game. This will make it so that he can get into certain social groups and other locations that would be closed off to him otherwise. You’ll also be able to decorate the Holmes mansion by buying or unlocking furniture throughout the game.
These are only some of the details reviewed in this Q&A video, so check out the YouTube video below for the rest of the details.
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is set to release later in 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
