Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut Releases on March 18th

Borderlands 3

Oh uh, hey guys. Vaughn here. If you wouldn’t mind, I’ve got some info for you about Borderlands 3.

So, I may have got myself into a little bit of trouble and am contractually obligated to tell you a few things. If not, the psychos that captured me have threatened to play my abs like a drum and use knives as the drumsticks.

So anyway, ahem – a recent episode of The Borderlands Show was full of super exciting updates and announcements about the upcoming Director’s Cut add-on for Borderlands 3. Not sure why the psychos care about this, but the Director’s Cut launches March 18th individually or as part of the Season Pass 2.

What is this crap? These guys don’t know what months are.

Whatever. The newest addition to the game includes a new raid boss: Hemovorous the Invincible. Oh, okay. A chance to kill stuff. That’s why these guys give a crap. He’s like a super huge Varkid. Dude, that sounds wicked actually.

The Director’s Cut also includes a set of murder mystery missions which include brand new locations never seen before. You’ll be helping out Ada who is convinced that there’s some supernatural things happening on Pandora. That reminds me of this time back when I worked for Hyperion and – OW. God, jeez. They’re throwing skin at me.

Oh god. Bleh. It’s skin pizza. It’s pizza made of skin. I think I’m gonna hurl. Just breathe through it, Vaughn. Those vault hunters will be here to save you soon.

As I was saying, The Director’s Cut also comes with three ‘Vault Cards’, which are your ticket to upcoming bundles of loot. If you play with a Vault Card active you can work to level up your card by completing daily and weekly challenges. Gain enough progress and you’ll unlock themed cosmetics.

Last but not least, this DLC includes a peek into the development of Borderlands 3 from bloopers to cut content to gallery images showing concept art, storyboard and more.

Alright. That’s the end of the paper they gave me. Which I’ve now just noticed is written on the back of more skin pizza. Yep, definitely going to vomit. Wait, what? Another one? Okay. Apparently they forgot something. Here goes.

Also upcoming for Borderlands 3 is Broken Hearts Day which launches today, February 11th. During the event you’ll see hearts hovering around lovesick enemies. Shooting a heart triggers a unique effect and if you shoot enough hearts you’ll unlock a special themed reward. The event runs until February 25th.

I think I finally hear someone coming to save me. I’d better do some quick stretches, make sure my muscles are gleaming for my epic getaway.

But oh yeah, Borderlands 3 is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia and PC. For a limited time, the Ultimate Edition is 50% off and the Super Deluxe Edition is 55% off on Xbox and PC. You can also grab the Standard Edition for 70% off on Xbox, 72% off on PlayStation and 67% off on PC.

Hey guys! Over here! Can you see my abs shining with my sweat? Wooooo bandit liiiiiiife!
