Resident Evil Village’s Lady Dimitrescu is nearly ten feet tall, and that’s official.
Unless you’ve been trapped in a Plaga-filled village for six months, you can’t have failed to notice the internet’s obsession with Resident Evil Village’s Lady Dimitrescu, who is one of the title’s primary antagonists. Known to many as “Tall Vampire Lady”, her demeanour, dress sense and sheer stature have certainly grabbed people’s attention.
But one question has occupied our.. er, their minds. Just how tall is she? It’s been speculated she’s around nine feet but Capcom have stepped up and given us an official answer, pretending they didn’t know a lofty, bosomy bloodsucker would have half the world weak at the knees.
“Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters have received a fair amount of attention,” notes Village’s Art Director, Tomonori Takano. “Lady Dimitrescu, especially, has received much fanfare both domestically and overseas, which has made all of us in the development team extremely happy. I hear her height is something of interest…
If you include her hat and high heels, she’s 2.9m (approximately 9’6″) tall.”
Going by our extremely scientific calculations (picking through Resident Evil wikis), that makes her even taller than Nemesis or Mr X’s standard forms, though she’s still dwarfed by some of the series’ final bosses.
In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom was actively recalling the Resident Evil Village Collectors Edition, just so they could swap the Chris Redfield figure out for a Lady Dimitrescu one. There’s already a wealth of Lady Dimitrescu cosplays and fan-art Twitter (as well as some muckier images) and the tide shows no sign of stopping.
You can get horribly murdered by Lady Dimitrescu and feel really conflicted about it when Resident Evil Village arrives on Playstation, Xbox and PC this May 7th.
