The latest entry in the long-running Ys series is here; Ys IX: Monstrum Nox finds our red-haired adventurer being arrested and turned into a Monstrum.
What exactly is a Monstrum, you ask? Well, we’re not exactly sure, but we do know that they have special gifts that allow the world of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox to be explored like never before. Also, they can switch to another reality where monsters exist, which they must do so to keep civilians safe. But enough of that; if you’re here it’s because you’ve either already picked up the game or are thinking are doing so, and you have one question on your lips: how long does it take to beat it?
A sizeable game, a typical playthrough of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is likely to take players around 35 hours. Those wanting to complete everything it has to offer, however, are likely to play it for 50 hours or more. Of course, your total playtime may be a little bit off depending on the difficulty you play on. Ys IX has six difficulty levels overall, and they range from pitifully easy to being absolutely insane. So, your experience with the game can be quite different depending which one you choose.
