Despite being trapped in a city, the world presented to you in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is still rather large.
As you make your way through Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, you’ll gain access to new areas of the city of Balduq, presenting new opportunities. But what if the idea of running from one place to another soon becomes tedious? Well, luckily there’s a fast travel option.
To fast travel in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, first open up the city map by pressing left on the d-pad. The entire map of the city will be displayed, along with multiple icons. You can fast travel to Relief Plates (blue icons) and Points of Interest (green icons) – simply select one and then confirm you wish to fast travel. It’s a good idea to activate any Relief Plates and points of interest you come across on your travels so you can easily fast travel to them in the future. The more you have, the more convenient fast travel becomes.
