King of Seas Will Be Published by Team 17

King of Seas

King of Seas, an action RPG that sees you joining a pirate crew after you’re framed for murder, is now going to be published by Team 17.

We had a lot of fun with King of Seas, when we got our hands on it last year. But publisher Team 17 and developer 3DClouds have revealed they’ll partnering up to bring the title to any would-be buccaneers.

It’s going to sail onto PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch and, with Team 17’s assistance, it’ll be getting an extra layer of polish as well as a few upgrades. The catch is that you’ll now have to wait till May to get your hands on King of Seas, instead of the originally planned early 2021 release date.

But, as much as we enjoyed the preview version, we’re happy to wait if it means we’re getting a significantly better game. 3DClould also suggested they’d be be working with Team 17 beyond the publication of this one title.

You can wishlist King of Seas on Steam now or, if you want a glimpse of the game in action, you can check out the announcement trailer below.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
