A month or so after release, you can now import locations from Hitman 1 and 2 into Hitman 3 PC for free.
So why is this surprising? Because while Hitman 1 and 2 were released on Steam, Hitman 3 is an Epic Games Store exclusive, making things a lot trickier. IO Interactive’s original plan was to release a Hitman 1 access pass for free and charge for Hitman 2’s access pass, with a discount, but it still meant people were having to re-buy content.
That’s now changed, as revealed by a tweet from IO Interactive:
We're pleased to share that HITMAN 3 PC players can now import locations from HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 at no additional cost.

By following IO Interactive’s guide, Steam users can now import their Hitman 1 and 2 locations into Hitman 3, giving them access to all those locations in the latest entry in the series.
You will, of course, need to have purchased the third game on the Epic Games Store, it still remains an exclusive for now. But the way IO Interactive has worked this out is by having you log into your original games with an IO Interactive account, link them to your IO account, then log into Hitman 3 using the same account. You’re technically claiming an access pass, so there’s still going to be some downloading involved.
But if you’ve been waiting on this development, you’ve got a lot of murdering to do.
