Crash on next gen looks as tasty as a wumpa fruit.
Activision has just recently released Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This release, of course, means new kickin’ graphics and some other improvements.
Players can expect to see Crash, Coco and their friends in 4k with 60 FPS. On both consoles, players will enjoy faster loading times, and improved audio – on PS5, the game makes use of supported 3D audio, and on Xbox Series X/S, spatial audio.
PS5 owners will notice DualSense implementation, too, as the game makes use of the controller’s adaptive triggers. The PS5’s Activity Card will also give players a breakdown of their progress as they play.
But that’s not all. To celebrate Crash’s 25th anniversary players will be able to access the Bare Bones skins for Crash and Coco for free. According to Activision, this is only the first of many celebrations on the way to celebrate the anniversary.
If you already own Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on PS4 or Xbox One, you’re entitled to a free upgrade. If you need help with upgrading your game to the improved version, you can go to this Activision Support Page for all the appropriate information.
Alongside its launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Crash Bandicoot 4 has also landed on Nintendo Switch today to enjoy the bandicoot’s antics on the go. It’ll also launch on PC via Battle.net on 26th March.
