Here Are Last Night’s BAFTA Games Award 2021 Winners

Can you believe it’s the BAFTA Games Awards again? We can’t, we figured 2020 was just going to drag on, unlike 2021 which is.. never mind. Regardless, last night’s BAFTA Games Awards (which took place entirely online for obvious reasons) gave us a gaming bucketful winners; some were a surprise, some could see coming a mile off. Here’s our round-up of the winners:

  • Artistic Achievement: Hades
  • Audio Achievement: Ghost of Tsushima
  • Best Game: Hades
  • British Game: Sackboy: A Big Adventure
  • Debut Game: Carrion
  • Evolving Game: Sea of Thieves
  • Family Game: Sackboy: A Big Adventure
  • Game Design: Hades
  • Game Beyond Entertainment: Animal Crossing New Horizons
  • Multiplayer: Animal Crossing New Horizons
  • Music: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  • Narrative: Hades
  • Original Property: Kentucky Route Zero – TV Edition
  • Performer in a Leading Role: Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part 2)

So there you have it. There was a fair spread of winners and we’re particularly happy to see Carrion get a look in. When The Last of Us Part 2 won, we were hoping against hope that crunch would be shoved into the BAFTA spotlight but that was not to be.
