Cuddle fish are one of the handful of new animals that you can find in Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 2. We love our Fortnite fish so we’re thankful that we didn’t have to say goodbye to them this season. While cuddle fish aren’t a huge game-changer in most situations, they are absolutely adorable and we love to use them. But where do you find cuddle fish in Fortnite and how do you use them? That’s the big question and we’ve got the big answer.
You can catch cuddle fish just like you would normal fish in Fortnite – by grabbing a fishing rod or harpoon gun and using fishing holes. You can find fishing holes in practically any body of water around the map; just look for the light blue water and fish jumping in and out of the hole.
Once you’ve caught some cuddle fish, there are a couple of ways to use them. The way we’ve seen people use them the most is like a proximity mine. You might find yourself stuck in a building surrounded by enemies but if you throw a few cuddle fish around the area, they’ll explode when the enemy comes in contact with them.
You can also use them as a grenade that sticks to the enemy and explodes for about 35 damage per fish. In the long run this isn’t a tonne of damage but if you have a handful of cuddle fish that are all doing 35 damage at a time then you might be able to take out an enemy pretty quickly with them.
And there you have it. Cuddle fish are an adorable new addition to Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 2 and we can’t wait to see how people use them to their advantage in future games.
