Looking to tame a wolf in Fortnite? Here’s how you can do it.
Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 2 has seen a lot of new mechanics introduced into the game. At the forefront of those new mechanics is wildlife. This chapter is all about going primal and that means giving in to your animal side. This new chapter introduced wolves, boars, chickens and more that players can encounter on the map. But, did you know that wolves and boars can be tamed? Here’s what you need to know about taming wolves in Fortnite.
Here’s how to do it:
First you’ll want to find some wildlife that isn’t the wildlife you want to tame. Kill a couple of boars or chickens to get some meat – that’s what you’ll use to tame an animal. If you want to tame a wolf, approach it cautiously. Throw the meat, the same way you would throw a grenade, as close to the animal as you can.
As soon as it starts to eat the meat, you’ll notice blue lines will appear over its head. Approach it and interact with it. If you don’t approach it in time, it will eat the meat and go back to being a bloodthirsty foe.
Interact with it quickly enough and it will be your new companion.
But where can you find wildlife in Fortnite?
There’s a lot of wildlife around the map to be found, but there are a few places where you’re more likely to find animals. Though animals do wander around so no area is 100% guaranteed to have wildlife. The Weeping Woods is a great place to find wolves. And both of the game’s farms will have chickens most of the time that you can snag some meat from.
There hasn’t been one specific place we’ve seen boars, but we encountered a few of them near the drive-in more than once.
And there you have it. If you’re looking to grab a wolf or boar companion to help you in your Fortnite match, it’s as easy as feeding the some meat and giving them a pat.
